farm baby #2 | 22 WEEK STATS

i'll say it again...i'm absolutely giddy over all the love and compliments you guys have sent our way. it makes being pregnant that much better.

because, if there is one thing i know...it's that a pregnant gal LOVES compliments. at least this one does.
so now we're at 22 weeks large, we've announced to the masses our exciting news, AND we know what we're having. i can't wait to share that news with you guys...but what kind of blogger would i be if i didn't make a spectacle of it and blow up some balloons or wrap myself with ribbon or make kaye hold a sign or something?

answer - a terrible blogger. everyone knows you take full advantage of the blog posts you get out of being pregnant. so...in a week or so i'll definitely be announcing that! don't forget to vote in the top, left corner if you think it's a mini-farmer or a sweet, little gal...the exact opposite of kaye, of course.

22 WEEK STATS | farm baby #2
cue the awkward pose. i had exactly one 22 week picture to choose from.
WEIGHT GAIN | oh, you know...five pounds. that's a zero pound increase from last week. however, my stomach has definitely popped out, which is nice. it no longer appears as though i've eaten a large meal or that i'm trying to loose the baby weight from kaye.

CLOTHING | my tas are growing hourly. it's a problem, people. i was chatting with a gal (who is 26 weeks) and her husband last week and they agreed that was one good thing about pregnancy...bigger tas. i said, "speak for yourself." at this rate i'll be having a baby in late october and a mandatory boob job in early november.

also, i'm officially a permanent wearer of my yoga pants or dresses. my maternity clothing from kaye is still too big but my pants are just so damn tight. i mean...if i HAVE to squeeze into my white, skinny jeans, i'll do it. but you can count on them being unbuttoned and unzipped a solid majority of the time.

WORKOUTS | i'm still running all over the place! the farm weather has been substantially better lately so kaye and i are getting outside more. she's such a little trooper in her running stroller. i'm averaging about 15 miles a week.

also, last night i purchased one of those front seats for toddlers you can put on a bike. kaye is a bit of a daredevil so i know she's absolutely going to love it.

what is she not going to love? the helmet.
GENDER | we totally know and it's so exciting because we didn't find out with kaye. as stated before, vote in the top left corner of the blog! also, be on the lookout for another annoying blog announcement in the coming week(s)!

CRIES THIS WEEK | i'm sitting solid at ZERO cries this week! this is a big deal. i'm probably gearing up for a big one...who knows what will trigger it. probably in the dressing room of macy's as some lady is telling me my bra size is a 34 G-H-I-J-K and she's never seen that on someone my age.

CRAVINGS | salsa. i ate chips and salsa the other day and was in absolute heaven. actually...i'm craving them right now and it's 7:05 am. i know a fantastic salsa recipe that i'd just love to share with you guys...i'm inspired. look for that next week too.

and that's that! 22 weeks in the books and less than 18 to go.

for all you moms of two (or more!) - any products i should look into for multiple kids? as in...baby toddler products?

do you think i'll need a new stroller? do we like the baby bjorn or the ergo carrier more?

have a great tuesday!

  1. Congrats on #2! Can't wait to hear the gender :) - I would definitely recommend a double stroller, we went with one that is front to back instead of side to side - I wanted to be able to fit through doors while shopping. I'm currently preggo with #3 and I'm looking into the Ergo. We have the bjorn but I never really liked it, but my hubby did!

Awe the helmet picture is so cute. Looking forward to the gender announcement and that salsa recipe!

  3. I am dying to know what little baby is! I am so excited for you two and can't wait for your second birth story. Those are always the best. I think that was actually how I found your blog in the first place and I am so happy I did. Turtle in her helmet is too cute, but so sad she hates it. Hahhaa. You still look amazing by the way. I hope I look as good as you do at 22 weeks.

  4. can't wait to hear the gender! we'll be sharing that info in a few weeks as well! We find out on July 9th!

And I'm looking forward to seeing what products you're buying for two kiddos...we have a Baby Bjorn, but didn't really care for it, so we may try the Ergo this time!

I LOVE these updates! Please keep them coming!

  6. You are NOT making me wait weeks to find out the baby's gender!!! I can't handle it!!! Don't do that to me. ;)

  7. So very exciting!! Is the pink scarf a gender clue??.. :)

  8. 15 miles a week! you are doing better than this non pregnant lady.

  9. We have the iBert seat that goes on the front of a bike and it's awesome. It's actually the only thing that worked to convince Reed to wear a helmet. We had to be really firm about not letting him in the bike without it on (I wouldn't even let him sit in the seat until he put it on). There were definitely stand offs and screams about it, but after about a week he totally got with the program and now he'll wear the helmet to ride his scooter and his little balance bike too. Good luck!

  10. Oh, also we had the Infantino Flip, which is like the Bjorn, but way cheaper and I loved it. I wore Reed facing out though, even though I was worried about dirty looks from people. (I never got any - that I'm aware of). We also have the Ergo and he refused to go in it when he was little, but we can wear him on our backs now and it was awesome in the airport last week. If I was doing it all again I'd look at the Beco Gemini. It's like a Bjorn and Ergo combined.

  11. Yay for the bike seat! My girlie loves riding "her" bike! We have a pretty bell she stays busy ringing. But yeah...she's constantly trying to rip her helmet off as we ride. The Bjorn was good for infancy...but longterm the ergo has been used the most. I still put a toddler on my back to do chores when she's fussy. And...definitely get your good double jogger... if you like to run it will be your sanity. So happy for your cute fam!

  12. I'm so excited to find out the gender :)

  13. Such exciting news!! I've loved your blog from afar but wanted to drop in to say congrats. Cant wait to find out if Turtle 2.0 is a boy or girl...I think I'm rooting for a mini-farmer. Either way- so exciting!

  14. awww you look so cute. congrats!!

  15. Congratulations!! That's great news. Can't wait to see how you announce the gender.

  16. EEK. Can't wait to have the gender beans spilled.

  17. You look fabulous! And I'm dying to find out what your having!! I'm currently looking for double strollers as well. The choices are overwhelming :(

  18. Congratulations! Just saw you were expecting again- you are going to have your hands full mama- I have two little girls ages 3 and 1 :)

Products- I love the Ergo, way more lower back support.

We have the Phil & Teds Navigator with the second attachment and really love it. It folds down as small as a single stroller and is easy to use as either a double or single- it is also only as wide as a single and both girls like riding in the back or the front.

  19. I literally can't WAIT for your announcement. I'm thinking boy based on your cravings;) And go with the Ergo! We have a Born and whenever we decide to expand our family, I'll be investing in an Ergo - the Bjorn hurts my back! Eeee - can't wait!!!

this gal loves your comments so feel free to leave one or seven!
