5 | lusting, announcements, baby goats

1 | looking forward to.
my farmer is actually going to get some "boy time" this weekend. this is oh so rare since he's a farming maniac. but today he leaves for a good friend's bachelor party. there are talks of a rafting trip, but the water is looking chilly. i wouldn't be surprised if they managed to find themselves a nice little...we'll call it an establishment...and parked it there for a few hours.

you see...at the last bachelor party my farmer attended, his very very good buddy (we'll call him ben to protect identities), was pulled up on stage and whipped with his own belt.

needless to say, i'm looking forward to the stories upon my farmer's return.

2 | lusting after.
4-way stretch speed short
so...a little over a month ago i set a goal for myself to start running 20 miles a week. i said that if i hit my goal that first week i could justify buying some new running shorts. (i have a few pair, but it's time to retire one nike pair in particular that have been around since 2003. ick.)

naturally, i've been lusting after lululemon apparel which is not cheap. well, i hit that goal and my new goodies arrived! not only that, but i've been hitting my 20 mile goal every week since and the lululemon packages keep arriving. i could certainly get used to this.

3 | what's new.
ummm...farmer and i slept in our new king-sized bed last night. it's about 80-eleven feet wide and very tall. i have to jump to get on. it's so tall we're considering taking the legs off our bed frame. this would make me so sad since i absolutely love the bed frame...but it's comical how tall it is. practically princess and the pea. but above all that...i slept like an absolute dream. i sleep great regardless, but it was even better last night. you could fit farmer, kaye, me AND a baby goat in that bed and we would never touch each other. and that's what marriage is all about, right? not touching each other in bed. glad we covered that.
ps. on a completely related note...we have baby goats on the farm.

4 | for you.
oh...you know how excited i get each month to launch the group giveaway and share some amazing sponsors with us all! well, the june giveaway is coming right up and i have four spots left. i'd absolutely love to get those filled, so if you've been considering getting in on one of these...this is it! do it. peer pressure. 30% off. code: 5FRIDAY

  3. I know I've kinda already said this, but I think that your plan to run 20 miles a week to justify the shorts is BRILLIANT. Totally going to do that once the doctor clears me to work out again. Because girrrl this pregnancy weight needs to go away. Like, yesterday.

Have a great weekend, friend! :)

  4. Our king size bed is the best thing in our marriage. And I feel like a total old person when we sleep somewhere else complaining about how the bed just isn't as comfortable as our own.

  5. I can't wait to get a king bed.......... Hope your farmer has fun!

  6. My husband wants a king bed...I think that's a little bit overkill since we're both petite (he's only 5'6" and he's taller than me)....plus I think our room is about the size of a king sized bed so it wouldn't work here. Who knows, maybe some day!

  9. My husband and I started out on a futon. Yes, a stinkin FUTON. Then we moved to a Queen size bed and I can only dream of the day we have a King size bed. I cannot wait for it.

  10. We just got a kind size bed and it is HEAVEN!!! My husband complains because he says I am so far away, but I say, "That's the point!" I love snuggling, but not in my sleep . Give me my space! :)

  12. When my fiancé and I were purchasing a new bed he tried endlessly to convince me to get a king and I said no. I really regret that decision.

    Happy Friday!!

  14. I remember going from a twin bed to a kind size bed, it was like the biggest and best and most magical thing ever!!! Now I feel like maybe we should each have our own king sized bed because I really am great at spreading out.

Awesomeness on your running goals and lululemon rewards!

  15. I always love reading your posts! Those shorts are super cute! Maybe I need to take up running! lol!
Mic and I have talked about getting a king size bed for a few years now (He is 6'6", so we really need it!), and I think we will finally get one later this year. I can't wait! X sleeps with us still so I am dying for more room! And I totally know what you mean about not touching! lol! We love when we get a king size bed on vacation or whereever. It is so glorious not to touch! Enjoy your weekend!

  17. ok the idea of the three of you and a baby goat in your bed is killing me...mainly because we also just bought a king bed, and you are OH SO RIGHT!!! But we don't have baby goats for me to have that reference...ha!

  19. I find that every time I buy lulu clothes I go on a gym binge. As I see it, you have to invest so you actually use it. It works though!

  20. I visited our Lulu store today for the first time. I could justify new lulu clothes if I ran 20 miles a week. Go girl!!

  21. We are fake goat farmers over here. We have two pygmies and they are the highlight of our farm life. They are two girls and no we don't milk them or anything. We have them for pure entertainment. We love them so much we want to move to more prop and get a whole herd of them. Speaking of which it's nearly impossible to find any decor items with goats. There is a plethora of cows, sheep, chickens, and pigs. What gives?

  22. King sized beds are AMAZING and so necessary for married life! 20 miles in a week?! Dam girl! I'm thrilled I met my goal to run 30miles all of last month! You totally earned the new workout gear!

  23. I have a few lululemon items on my wish list, maybe I should accomplish a goal and it will help me too! Ha ha!
How cute that you have baby goats on the farm - I'm jealous! I'm also jealous of the king sized bed :D
